LAHORE, May 10: It remained partly cloudy here on Saturday, breaking once again the brief spell of hot weather which persisted for only two days.
Clouds continued to block the sun throughout the day, dropping the maximum temperature from Friday’s 40 degree C to 37.7 degree C. Humidity was 27 per cent in the morning and 14 per cent in the evening.
Occasional rain and the westerly system affecting mainly the NWFP and the Northern Areas have so far been keeping temperatures low in the plains of the Punjab.
According to the Met office, the temperature in Lahore dropped under the influence of a mild westerly system affecting the NWFP and the Northern Areas.
The system might give light rain in Malakand, Hazara, Mardan, Peshawar and Rawalpindi divisions and in Kashmir, Gilgit and Skardu during the next 24 hours. It will remain partly cloudy in Lahore, it said.
