LAHORE, May 24: The Young Doctors Association has condemned a robbery at the house of a Jinnah Hospital’s senior doctor and demanded immediate arrest of the robbers.Jinnah Hospital Additional Medical Superintendent (AMS) Dr Mehmood Salahuddin’s house in B-block of Johar Town was looted early Tuesday morning. Dr Mehmood and his wife were not present at home at that time.

Three masked men held the maid and children of Dr Mehmood hostage and collected cash, jewellery, mobile phones, an LCD and other valuables.

Dr Mehmood said he noticed some unknown men inside his house when he reached the main gate and pressed the car horn as a routine. The robbers, however, fled the scene by scaling the backyard wall with looted items.

He found cash, gold and other valuables worth over Rs1.7 million missing from the house.
