KOHAT: NGOs’ support sought

Published May 11, 2003

KOHAT, May 10: District Nazim Malik Asad has urged the members of the national and provincial assemblies not to ignore the local issues of federal nature.

Speaking at a meeting of councillors at the District Council Hall, he said the local government was facing funds shortage and support of the non-governmental organizations was required to implement various development  projects.

He said a board had been constituted to look into the difficulties of  the local government and present solutions to the problems. He said he would arrange a meeting of the representatives with the National Reconstruction Bureau chief, so that functioning of the system could be improved.
