KARACHI, May 21: Paceman Asmar Haider claimed five wickets to help Hashim Industries defeat Faisal Blood Bank by six wickets in the 19th Hinopak Trophy KCCA Inter-departmental Cricket League at the TMC Ground here on Tuesday.Asmar grabbed five for 41 to send Faisal Blood Bank reeling to 80 all out in the 23rd over with Aamir Raza contributing 25.

Hashim Industries, in reply, eased to victory by making 83-4 in just 11.4 overs. Paceman Danish Ahmed captured all four wickets to fall for 38 runs.

In another match at the KCCA Stadium, Omar Associates overwhelmed M.S. Technologies by 55 runs.

Batting first, Omar Associates were dismissed for 198 in the 46th over. Sajjad Mushtaq scored 51 that included six boundaries, while Mohammad Afzal hit four fours in his knock of 40.

Off-spinner Sarfraz Malik snared three wickets for 19 runs.

M.S. Technologies fell well short of their target when they were all out for 143 in 45.2 overs with Jahangir Javed scoring 42 with the aid of four hits to the fence.
