SHEIKHUPURA, May 9: Dilapidated portion of the Sargodha Road from Nabipura to Farooqabad has become a nuisance to the travellers.
The local residents alleged that the Xen and his men had embezzled funds allocated for the repairs of the road.
They have demanded the authorities concerned to repair the portion without further delay and order an inquiry against the accused.
ARRESTED: City circle police claimed on Friday to have arrested 20 proclaimed offenders and as many court absconders during a fresh campaign.
City circle DSP Faisal Gulzar told newsmen that the raiders had seized 28 pistols, 17 rifles, 19 carbines, 14 revolvers and countless cartridges from the accused. The police had also recovered contraband worth millions of rupees, the DSP claimed.
Investigation is under way.
