PESHAWAR, May 18: Two newly-elected independent members of the provincial assembly have announced to join the Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf.
A press release issued by the PTI media cell on Saturday said that Farid Khan, MPA-elect from Hangu, and Shah Mohammad Khan from Bannu, met with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister-designate Pervez Khan Khattak and announced joining the PTI. Both the MPAs said they supported the programme of Imran Khan and joined his party to serve the people.
On the occasion, Mr Khattak told the new entrants that his party accorded top priority to ending corruption and improvement of law and order and establishment of rule of law to provide prompt justice to the people of the province. The PTI-led government, he said would bring about reforms in health and education sector.
Mr Khattak said the new government will execute development programmes in backward districts on priority basis to bring them at par with the residents of other areas of the province. The PTI, he said would ensure that all the citizens got justice at their doorsteps. —Bureau Report
