KARACHI: School recognition

Published May 10, 2003

KARACHI, May 9: The Board of Secondary Education, Karachi, has announced some exemptions for secondary schools applying for the renewal of their recognitions.

Some of the clauses which were included in the board’s pro forma have been dropped to simplify the process. In future, schools applying for renewal would not be required to submit copies of first recognition letter.

The would also be exempted from giving details or evidence on compulsory subjects, number of sections in schools, details of school-buildings, number of science teachers, details of furniture, details of fees approved by the local education authority, etc.

The schools are only required to submit copies of the previous recognition letters issued by the board and the latest registration granted by the EDO (secondary and higher secondary school education).
