KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement's candidate for Karachi’s NA-250, Khushbakht Shujaat, on Monday demanded that re-election be held in the said constituency, DawnNews reported.

Addressing a press conference in Karachi, she said elections should not be held only on certain polling stations for the constituency but on all.

The candidate said she was the most affected on account of the maladministration during elections in NA-250.

Shujaat added that although she too had evidence of rigging done by her opponents, she was not going to indulge in the politics of blame.

She further said that a re-election for the seat would reveal who the people wanted to choose as their representative.

Earlier on Sunday, Election Commission’s Secretary Ishtiaq Ahmad said re-polling would be held on 43 polling stations of NA-250 in 10 days’ time.
