KARACHI: Heroin seized

KARACHI, May 6: The Customs officials recovered 1,350 kilogrammes of heroin, packed in plastic bags of one kilo each, sources said on Tuesday. Value of the seized drug is said to be Rs540 million in the local market and US$500 million in the international market.

The sources said the seizure was the biggest ever made by any agency in Pakistan. The FIRs have been lodged and investigation is underway.—APP
