KARACHI, May 4: On behalf of Governor Ishratul Ibad, his advisor Said Mazhar Ali presented a cheque of Rs500,000 to the known comedian Safirullah Lehri at the latter’s residence.
Mr Ibad, who had earlier visited the ailing artist and inquired about his health, took serious notice of the fact that there existed no fund for the assistance of retired artists.
Lehri, while receiving the cheque, expressed his gratitude to the governor for his concern and also mentioned that Dr Ibad frequently contact him to inquire about his health.—APP
