PPP meets to discuss LFO

ISLAMABAD, May 3: The special committee of the PPP on LFO on Saturday while formulating its policy for the negotiations with the government on reiterated that the LFO was not a part of the Constitution, therefore, all its provisions would have to be placed before Parliament so as to make it a part of the Constitution.

A meeting of the special committee held here at the central secretariat, PPP, under the chairmanship of Makhdoom Amin Fahim and was attended by Senator Mian Raza Rabbani, Shah Mahmood Qureshi MNA, Chaudhry Aitazaz Ahsan MNA and Senator Lateef Khosa.

The meeting clarified that in the first instance the seven contentious points would be taken up for discussion on Monday, subsequently other provisions of the LFO including Article 270 AA i.e validation of laws will also be discussed in the meeting.
