HYDERABAD, Dec 9: A power consumer of New Wahdat Colony, account No.02-7116-01121005 U A1, has been slapped with an electricity bill of Rs829,000 for three months.

On the record of the Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (Hesco), the power supply to the above consumer has been disconnected and no metre has been installed at the premises.

The poor consumer has been running from pillar to post but he has been kept away from the Hesco chief by the officials of the company.

Edibles distributed: Anjuman-i-Tajeran-i-Latifabad and Tanzeem-i-Khidmat-i-Insan distributed essential commodities of daily use worth Rs0.2 million among the needy people, said a press release here on Sunday, reports APP.

The commodities comprising edibles and household items were presented to poor people by Abdul Hameed, Raees Qureshi and others.
