Hashish seized

CHINIOT, Feb 20: At least 334-kilo hashish was seized en route from Afghanistan to southern Punjab on Wednesday.

A police team also seized 28-kilo opium from a car on a tip-off and nabbed Zahid Khan, a resident of Lakki Marwat district, and Saeedullah Jan, a resident of the Attock district. According to the police, the accused have confessed to supplying drugs from Afghanistan to Lakki Marwat and some districts of southern Punjab.

DPO Rai Zameer told newsmen that drugs worth Rs20 million were routed through the Chiniot. — Correspondent
