PESHAWAR, Dec 31: Two PTI groups have mended ways and unanimously nominated former provincial minister Pervez Khattak for the slot party provincial president.

Talking to reporters at Peshawar Press Club on Monday Shaukat Ali Yousufzai, who was previously the candidate for the provincial president, said Pervez Khattak was the most suitable person for the slot.

Flanked by Pervez Khattak, Hashim Babar and Shehr Yar Afridi, Mr Yousufzai appealed to the workers to keep the party united at this critical juncture and support Pervez Khattak for the slot of the provincial president.

“PTI needs seasoned politicians to get strengthened and to achieve this goal Pervaiz Khattak needs to be nominated as the party president of the KP,” he added.

On the occasion, Pervaiz Khattak said PTI had to clean the rot left by the wrong policies of the previous governments. He said people had attached great expectations to PTI to steer the country out of the crises.—Bureau Report
