Several cities in Punjab continued to receive rain on Friday. The upper parts of the country received moderate to heavy rain.

Heavy snowfall was also reported from the northern areas and Murree. The rain and snow have already dropped temperatures in the country. And the Met office expected further intensification of the weather in the coming days.

It reported two-foot snowfall in Chitral, Kaghan, Naran, Murree and adjoining areas.

Kotli received 53mm of rain, Garhi Dupatta 46mm, Islamabad 34mm, Rawlakot 32mm, Risalpur 26mm, Sialkot 24mm, Parachinar 23mm, Lahore airport and Sialkot 11mm, Lahore city 10mm, Chakwal 9mm, Gujranwala 8mm and Kalam 7mm.

The Met office forecast more rain and snowfall over the hills in Malakand, Hazara, Gilgit-Baltistan, and hill stations of Punjab in the next 24 hours.

Fog is expected to blanket plains of the country, mainly of Punjab.

Meanwhile, Lahore’s maximum temperature was 16.5 degrees Celsius and minimum 7.2 degrees Celsius.
