Girl killed

SUKKUR, Oct 20: An eight-year-old girl was killed in an exchange of fire between two groups of the Dasti community in Mureed Shakh town of Ghotki district near Sindh’s border with Punjab on Saturday.

The two groups had a heated argument over their right to use a particular street and soon the dispute spiralled into an armed clash.

Shamshad Dasti, 8, daughter of Hazaro Dasti, was caught up in the ensuing exchange of fire and killed on the spot.—BoC
