ISLAMABAD, Oct 4: The Supreme Court arraigned Law Secretary Yasmin Abbasi on Thursday on contempt charges for withholding a notification to permanently appoint two additional judges of the Sindh High Court,  Justice Ghulam Sarwar Korai and Justice Irfan Saadat Khan.

A four-member special bench headed by Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali ordered the secretary to explain within two weeks why contempt proceeding should not be initiated against her for disregarding a court order to issue the notifications.—Staff Reporter
