7-kg heroin seized

RAWALPINDI, Sept 27: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) on Thursday recovered seven kg heroin from a car in Saddar and arrested two persons. The consignment was being smuggled to Spain.

Acting on a tip-off, a raiding party of ANF intercepted a car on the Bank Road and recovered the heroin concealed in the cavities of a brief case and arrested Abdul Wahab and Daud Khan. The authorities said the arrested persons were in fact ‘drug carriers’ who were to hand it over to another person to smuggle the narcotics to Spain.

The ANF raids were continuing to arrest the other person who was to travel tonight from Islamabad. — Staff Reporter
