ISLAMABAD, Aug 4: Linemen in Pakistan are working in high risk environment as an average more than 100 of them become victim of fatal accidents every year.
This was stated by Robert Dalton, Linemen Training Expert of United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Power Distribution Program.
USAID’s Power Distribution Program has already trained more than 600 linemen and started handing over of linemen safety training tools to the Regional Training Centers.
Trainings will continue for thousands more in the coming months besides equipping regional training centers with the latest and modern safety equipment.—A Reporter
