LAHORE, July 20: A youth was allegedly shot dead by his neighbor over a petty issue in Gowalmandi here on Friday.
The police said that Tahir (30) of Nisbet Road and his neighbor Ijaz Butt had a scuffle over cutting jokes with each other a few days. On Friday, they again exchanged hot words which led to a scuffle.
The police said Ijaz Butt shot and injured his rival and fled the scene. Tahir was shifted to a hospital where doctors pronounced him dead.
The police sent the body to a morgue for an autopsy. A case has been registered against the accused. — Staff Reporter
