LAHORE, June 16: The Badami Bagh police arrested on Saturday a woman who refused to administer anti-polio vaccine to her children.

The police registered a case under sections 506 and 186 of Pakistan Penal Code against Bano, a resident of Hanif Park.

Lady Health Supervisor of Union Council 11 Misbah Munir, who was the complainant, said she along with a lady health worker reached Hanif Park to administer anti-polio drops to children on Saturday. During door-to-door drive they reached the house of Bano who refused polio drops for her children and ‘attacked’ the visiting team, she alleged.

She later brought the matter to the notice of the district coordination officer who directed the police to register a case against the woman. — Staff Reporter
