GCU wins debates

LAHORE, April 13: The Government College University, Lahore, on Friday won the title of the Best Debating Team of Pakistan at the All Pakistan Universities Declamation Contest hosted by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).

Only six best teams, each from five provinces and Azad Kashmir, made to the finals out of the 140 universities of Pakistan.

The GCU Debating Society lifted the prestigious team trophy, called as Allama Iqbal Shield, at the competition. GCU’s Saadul Hasan was declared the best speaker of the competition. —APP
