GUJAR KHAN, April 7: Pakistan People’s Party and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz are the two sides of the same coin and they are equally responsible for plundering financial resources of the country.

This was said by Makhdoom Javed Hashmi, president Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf (PTI) while addressing a public gathering in Daultala town at the residence of Chaudhry Sajid Mehmood, on Saturday evening

“Mian Shahbaz Sharif had already decided to expel me three years ago while I was waiting for the right time to quit the party for which I had given great sacrifices at a crucial time when its top leadership had either fled away from the country or was hibernating – thanks to a nod from the dictator.” Mr Hashmi said and added while he was fighting for the cause of the country, his colleagues left him in the lurch and those “fair-weather leaders” staged their come back after the ousting from power of the dictator – Musharraf. He further said the PPP and PML-N were fighting a war of words just to throw dust into the eyes of the common people while the fact of the matter was that PML-N had accepted huge funds from the PPP after which it had become increasingly difficult for the Mian brothers to call a spade a spade before President Asif Ali Zardari. He suggested that Mian brothers should do PhD in politics to understand political maneuvering of Mr Zardari. Towards the end of his speech he also demanded province status for Potohar region, district status for Gujar Khan and tehsil status for Daultala town.
