LAHORE, March 16: The Punjab University’s book fair on the second day on Friday attracted a large number of people who got up to 50 per cent discount on a variety of titles.

Former UK minister Shahid Munir, along with PU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran and senior faculty members, visited the book fair. He lauded the varsity administration for organising knowledge-friendly activity.

He said the availability of books under one roof at discounted rates would help promote reading culture in society.

Deputy Chief Librarian Haroon Usmani told reporters that more than 10,000 books were sold on the first day of the book fair which would conclude on Saturday. — Staff Reporter
