KARACHI: Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam - Fazl (JUI-F) chief, said that a consultation process on a formula for early election was ongoing among political parties, DawnNews reported.

Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, Rehman said that the election schedule would be announced after the development of a consensus among political parties.

He said that early elections were inevitable and stated that a change in the system would become a dream if the politics of blame-game went on.

Rehman also said that no Islamic country in the world was a model country for Muslims.
