LAHORE: A bomb was diffused on Monday near Imam Bargah Hussainia in Khanpur, a suspect was also beaten up by people and then arrested by the Rangers, DawnNews reported.

Khanpur was still plunging with chaos and fear on the second day of the attack on Chehlum procession which killed 21 on Sunday.

A bomb was found and diffused by the local authorities near the same Imam Bragah from which the procession for Chehlum Imam Hussain came out.

A suspect was also arrested by the Rangers who was firstly being caught and beaten up by the locals.

Two remote-controls were recovered from the suspect who was taken away to an undisclosed location by the Rangers.

Funeral prayer of the victims was to be offered near the Imam Bargah today.

Families of the victims were still protesting against the authorities outside local police station of the town.
