ATTOCK, Jan 5: Fatehjang police foiled a kidnapping bid and arrested nine alleged kidnappers after recovery of an abducted person and his snatched vehicle from their possession.

Police sources said on Thursday that on a tip off about a kidnapping attempt, police have blocked Pindi-Kohat road on Wednesday evening.

Police intercepted a van and arrested nine residents of Pindigheb after recovery of a blindfolded abducted person, Zardad Khan, a resident of Jalwal village along with weapons from them. The snatched car of the abducted  that closely followed their van was also taken into custody. Police have registered a kidnapping and robbery case against the accused and further investigation is underway.

SHO ARRESTED:  Attock city police have arrested former SHO Jand police station after his interim bail was cancelled by court of additional district and sessions Judge.

The accused Inspector Akhlaz Khan appeared before the court on Thursday that withdrew the interim bail. Earlier the court had granted   bail before arrest to him in a case registered by the police on the complaint of a local resident, Naseeb Sardar. — Correspondent
