ISLAMABAD: A public-private dialogue to define recommendations on trade policy and domestic regulatory reform to promote trade in textile made-ups and light engineering sectors with countries of Economic Cooperation Organisation (ECO), held here on Wednesday.
The first public-private dialogue on “Services Sector Export Development Strategy for Pakistan” took place in Islamabad in October this year resulting in drawing specific recommendations which have been presented to the government for adoption as policy for services sector exports development.
Consequently, the second dialogue on regional trade with ECO countries held here on Wednesday focused on the problems and prospects of trade with ECO countries in textile made-ups and light engineering sectors along with the audit of trade facilitation measures affecting trade with those countries.
