LAHORE: The Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan denied holding any meetings with the army chief but said he did meet the head of the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) six months ago, DawnNews reported.

Speaking to media representatives at the Lahore airport, Khan lambasted the Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz’s (PML-N) top leadership and said the ‘residents’ of Raiwind palace were “a product of the establishment”.

He said a case was already pending in courts against the PML-N’s top leaders over taking money from the establishment.

He said the federal and Punjab governments had failed at every front and therefore there was no need for the establishment to hatch conspiracies against them.

He rebuffed the news published in sections of the press regarding his alleged meetings with Cameron Munter, the United States’ ambassador to Pakistan, and ISI chief Ahmed Shuja Pasha. He said he would sue the newspaper responsible for first publishing the story.

Khan, however, confirmed that he had once met Pasha six months ago and the agenda of that meeting was drone attacks in the tribal areas.

About the memogate scandal, Khan said the Supreme Court should conduct a probe into the matter so that facts could be ascertained and brought before the people.
