MANSEHRA, April 2: Mansehra police on Saturday recovered a kidnapped teenaged boy and arrested four alleged kidnappers of inter-provincial gang. Javed Iqbal, 18, was kidnapped on way to home on Thursday and his kidnappers had demanded Rs2 million as ransom from his father Aurangzeb for his safe release.

Aurangzeb had lodged FIR with the city police stating that the kidnappers had demanded Rs2 million ransom for the release of his son.

A contingent of police, headed by the District Police Officer Sohail Khalid, on a tip-off, raided a rented house in Dara area and recovered the kidnapped boy who was fastened with iron chains.

The kidnappers who were arrested were identified as Zahidullah of Landi Kotal, Shahida Bibi of Peshawar, Sameeullah of Bararee camp Mansehra and Shazada of Peshawar.—Correspondent
