LAHORE, Dec 27: The Federal Investigation Agency claimed on Monday to have arrested a forensic expert working for it for not returning the case property.

According to FIA, three mobile phones were sent to its forensic expert Rizwan Sabir for analysis. The expert returned two sets (after analysis) to the investigation officer but retained the third one which had been seized in connection with a gold smuggling case. The FIA had seized a huge quantity of gold being smuggled from the Lahore airport.

A case has been registered against the accused under section 409 of the PPC.

Meanwhile, the FIA immigration wing arrested a passenger and a constable in a human smuggling case. — Staff Reporter
