ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Russia announced on Wednesday to resume economic relations after 25 years.

This was stated by Russian consulate general Andrei Demidov during a joint press conference with minister of state for investment Salim Mandvi Wala.

The Russian ambassador said that Russian companies were interested to invest in oil, gas, dams’ construction, energy, railways and steel in Pakistan. The companies would soon visit Pakistan.

Salim Mandvi Wala said that Russian companies were also interested for production enhancement of Steel Mills and an agreement would be inked very soon.

He also said that a Russian Company Rusal is interested in exploring aluminum reserves in Pakistan.
