MULTAN, Aug 29 A traffic police official had to pay the price of stopping the nephew of Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani from parking his vehicle at a no-parking area.

Warden Shafique found the vehicle (LHZ/5858) parked at the no-parking area on Abdali Road and requested the vehicle owner, Makhdoom Mustafa Kamal Gilani, to move it away. When Mr Gilani did not remove his vehicle, the warden tried to lift it with the help of a lifter.

It infuriated Mr Gilani who ordered his teenaged servant to slap the warden which he complied promptly. Stun as he was, the warden called the police for help.

Later, the Cantonment police asked Mr Gilani to come to the police station along with his servant.

A Cantonment Police Station official said negotiations between both parties were being held in the presence of the SHO.
