KARACHI, May 30 Karachi thrashed Mirpurkhas 61-47 to win men's basketball title in the 12th Sindh Games on the penultimate day in Larkana on Saturday.

Earlier, Karachi inflicted 63-20 defeat on Sukkur while Mirpurkhas chalked up 55-42 victory over Hyderabad in the two pre-finals.

Karachi has also qualified for the women's basketball final outplaying Sukkur 67-4 in the completely one-sided match.

Karachi also completed a double grabbing men's and women's team titles in the table tennis. Sukkur grabbed the silver in men's after a lapse of 12 years while Hyderabad seized the bronze.

The silver and bronze in women's went to Hyderabad and Larkana respectively.

Karachi and Hyderabad clinched the men's and women's gold medals in netball. Karachi beat Hyderabad 14-12 goals in closely fought final to win men's gold while Hyderabad toppled Karachi 9-8 to claim women's gold. Sukkur secured the bronze.

Meanwhile, Karachi and Mirpurkhas will fight for football gold in the final on Sunday at 8.00am.

Larkana has already got the bronze following a walkover against Hyderabad.

The squash and tennis finals were in progress at the time of filing this report.
