MIRAMSHAH, May 22 Five civilians, including women and children, were among at least 10 people killed in a US drone attack in Mohammad Khel area of North Waziristan tribal region on Friday night.

Sources said that five alleged militants were also killed and seven civilians injured when the pilot-less plane fired five missiles at a compound in the area adjacent to the Afghan border.

News agencies reported late on Friday night that six militants were killed in the strike.

Four wounded children and three women, belonging to a tribesman Khaili Jan, were taken to a hospital in Miramshah.

One of the injured said their house was adjacent to the compound hit by missiles.

He said five members of his family, including three children and two women, were killed in the attack.
