LOADSHEDDING in Lahore and elsewhere in Punjab and other areas of the country is getting unbearable. This is mainly because of bad policy and the ever-rising circular debt.
One can imagine the terrifying situation in villages, towns and underdeveloped cities. Social life has been paralysed due to prolonged loadsheddings.

Living in Lahore is almost like tasting hell. No power for 18 hours and this is April. With May and June coming fast, prepare to embrace 40degrees Celsius with absolutely no relief, rest or any comfort! There is no point in complaining to the incompetent corrupt people sitting on the top. Let the people come out and destroy a couple of buildings, than the circular debt will be paid within 24 hours!

I agree with AA; but there's no point in destroying the buildings as these buildings are public property.
I think people desrve this as they have themselves brought these inept, incompetent and corrupt people to power who've scavenged this country for the last five years. The caretakers are busy in their own pastimes instead of focusing on energy shortage. They're more interested in taking a decision on "basant" rather than loadshedding. If protests are held in each city, I assure you, loadshedding would be finished within hours. This is what AA has also said.

I agree with Azfar Khan that destroying public property should be left out of the equation and peaceful forms of protests should be used to focus attention on generating sufficient energy for the country.
Our conditions have become deplorable over the years. If they continue to worsen, we might as well return to stone age.

Have the government fund a scientific project to capture a few jinns -- fiery beings mentioned extensively in Islamic literature. These would provide infinite amount of energy -- second law of thermodynamics notwithstanding. Our government needs to think outside the box and not be caught up in human created laws like laws of thermodynamics. The laws of Allah (SAW) are superior to any human made laws. If something is mantioned in the Quran, Hadith and other implacable Islamic source, we need to fearlessly fund it's investigation. Islamic science is all we need. To hell with the fake science of Jews, Christians and idolatrous Hindus.

Nothing can eliminate load-shedding within hours. The simple fact is there is not enough electricity to meet the demand. There is no effective short term solution. More power plants need to be built. More solar panels and wind turbines need to be installed. However these take time and cost money. Who is willing to pay?
