Methodology

While surveys conducted in Pakistan have focused on issues such as anti-American sentiments or opinions on the performance of a government, no single survey has dealt with a wide spectrum of sociocultural, political and economic issues. The Herald’s Political Barometer departs from this trend by examining perceptions among diverse segments of society through a broad range of socio-political indicators. The Political Barometer has been used extensively in talk shows by a number of Pakistan’s news channels such as DawnNews, Samaa TV, TV One and Geo Television. A large number of international news publications have also used this data in their news coverage.
