EARTH Day is celebrated to empathise with the deteriorating conditions of the earth due to ever-increasing pollution and vanishing plants.

Global warming is increasing and the earth is inching towards devastation. If the degree of temperature keeps rising, weather will change and produce tsunamis and floods as a result.

Although many seminars and walks are arranged both at the government and private level, there is a dire need for individuals to work towards a better environment with sincere efforts.

We can reduce pollution by planting trees, using fountain pens in place of ballpoints, cloth bags instead of polythene bags, and using water carefully by turning off the tap while brushing, shaving, performing ablution, etc.
