Azam Sports in final

KARACHI, Jan 28: Azam Sports defeated Sharafi Mohammadan 2-1 to reach the final of the DG Rangers Sindh Football Tournament here on Monday.

Naveed Gul opened the scoring for Azam Sports in their semi-final clash as early as the third minute at the People’s Sports Complex before Aqeel Khan’s 26th minute strike doubled their lead.

Sharafi Mohammadan fought their way back and Mohammad Ismail reduced the arrears when he netted in the 64th but his side could not get back into the match despite Azam Sports being reduced to 10 men after Naveed was sent off.

Azam Sports will now face Kalri Star in the final on Wednesday.—Sports Reporter
