Pesco office ransacked

CHARSADDA, Dec 29: The residents of several villages in Charsadda on Saturday blocked road and ransacked Pesco office in Shabqadar in protest against the prolonged power outages.

Sources said the enraged protesters from various villages of Shabqadar tehsil blocked the road. The protesters stormed the Pesco offices and damaged public property.

ARRESTED: Police arrested two accused in connection with attacks on polio workers in Batgram area of Shabqadar. Sources said the arrested persons identified as Darwesh and Shafiq of Tarkha were arrested in a raid. —Correspondent
