Instead of conducting large scale operations to weed out terrorists from karachi this type of sting operations on the basis of actionable real time information done repeatedly may contain the situation in the short term. However, what is needed in the long term is to allow local bodies to throw up genuine local leadership to solve local problems. The clogged courts at district level need to provide justice that is within a given period of time and affordable. Will these 70 caught taken through the courts? or will they be given a rough raw deal so that they turn further to terrorism? That is the real question? Is the Pakistani elite willing to share and be a little just and a pinch more compassionate. If its not? then such operations are meaningless.

I say again that if there is concrete proof against some individuals of their involvement in terrorism then they should be taken into custody, thoroughly questioned and then eliminated. If these fellows are taken to court they will be let off because no one will give evidence against them. Just eliminate these guys.
