A promise is a promise

This is with reference to the article A promise is a promise by Yasmin Elahi (YW, October 20, 2012). In a very nice way this article pointed out the importance of keeping and fulfilling promises.

Most of us do not realise that a promise is a word of honour. So we should be careful before making a promise. Once you make a promise to someone, be sure to fulfil it. It’s a social responsibility as well as a part of a good and likable personality.

People around us will trust us only when we are true to our word. Otherwise, they will label us as a disorganised or an irresponsible person.

Cook-it-yourself

This is with reference to the newly added section in the magazine Cook-it-yourself (YW, November 3, 2012). I must say that it is a very interesting and useful addition to the magazine.

Cook-it-yourself has opened a new horizon for readers. Whether one is a girl or a boy, cooking is an essential skill worth knowing as without it you are nowhere. Publishing of such items in a children’s magazine is a great way to encourage kids to learn to cook. I request you to continue this column forever!

The grand relation

This is with reference to the story The grand relation by Yasmin Elahi (November 3, 2012).The story gave me a valuable lesson: we must take care of our grandparents — without them our life is next to nothing!

Our grandparents tell us the right way to lead our lives and they also take care of our well-being. As they grow older, we tend to avoid them. But we must take out time to sit with them and chat so that they don’t feel lonely. And spending time with them will also give us the opportunity to learn important lessons of life.

This is with reference to the article The grand relation by Yasmin Elahi (YW, November 3, 2012). No doubt, we share a beautiful bond with our grandparents. Grandparents are a great blessing and we must value them. As we grow up, we tend to get involved with our school routine and friends and don’t spend time with our grandparents.

We should not forget that our grandparents (as they grow older) need our time and attention like we needed when we were little kids, so we should take some time out of our schedule and spend time with our grandpa and grandma so that they don’t feel lonely and dejected.

This is with reference to the article The grand relation by Yasmin Elahi. Having read the article, tears started rolling down on my cheeks and it reminded me the beautiful time I spent with my grandparents.

Grandparents guide us to the right path and also remain polite with us. I thankful the Young World team for publishing such a heart-touching article.

Young World is going great! The cover story The grand relation by Yasmin Elahi was worth reading. It conveyed a great message about the importance of grandparents in our lives.

Grandparents are a great blessing for us as they can always help us sort out our problems because of their keen observation and foresightedness. We must spend quality time with them.
