KARACHI: The government on Wednesday has issued a notification to announce an increase in the prices of hydrocarbons. The new prices will be implementable after midnight tonight.
It was decided to retain the prices of petroleum products on Eid-ul-Fitr. However, due to severe opposition by the finance ministry the government has announced the increased prices.
Petrol is increased by Rs3 and 21 paisa, High Octane Rs4 and 85 paisa, Kerosene oil Rs3 and 52 paisa and price of light diesel has been increased by Rs3 and 19 paisa.
The prices after increment are; Petrol Rs96.78, High Octane is Rs125.01, Kerosene oil is Rs96.35 and Light Diesel is Rs93.30.
Moreover, it has also been decided to increase CNG prices by up to Rs2.95.
