PESHAWAR, June 19: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Home and Tribal Affairs Department has set up an inquiry and complaint section in order to eradicate corruption at low level in its subordinate departments and ensure prompt disposal of routine work.

The formation of this unit is aimed at checking malpractices, investigating embezzlement charges and taking immediate action against all those found involved in corruption.

“Corruption has gripped the entire system and even at the low level people are forced to pay bribes for getting driving licences, arms licences, registration of vehicles, distribution of Zakat money, transfer of land properties’ documents and for renewal of relevant documents,” according to a home department statement issued here on Tuesday.

It said that besides government employees, private people were also involved in corruption and misused official facilities. — Bureau Report
