KARACHI: The hearing of the case regarding the bail of Mohajir Qaumi Movement – Haqiqi (MQM-H) chief Afaq Ahmed was postponed for an indefinite period, DawnNews reported on Friday.

Afaq Ahmed termed Karachi as the jail and the citizens of Karachi as well as the media had become the hostage.

On Thursday, MQM-H chief Afaq Ahmed filed petition against the DG Rangers in the Sindh High Court for contempt of court.

The application was filed after the Rangers failed to provide security to the MQM-H chief on the court's order.

The application submitted by Ahmed’s Attorney General Iqbal Kazmi stated that the orders of the Sindh High Court were being violated and the Rangers were not providing him with security.
