Art has no boundaries, whether it is drawing, sculpting, painting, fine art, visual art, graphics, or any other form. Imagination and creativity come from the body and soul of the one who is into it. Those who make drawings or are connected to any form of the art, can understand it well.

Art has evolved since the beginning of time. You learn new things every day, your imagination works wonders. Recently, I came across one such art form on a website, that brought out an artist from within me, the site is www.weavesilk.com.

Weavesilk is an interactive generative art form which allows you to make symmetrical art easily with only a mouse or a touchpad. Once you’re on the site, click “Draw something” in the centre of the home screen. Clicking it opens a new page, with dark screen and in the upper left-hand corner, you will see two tabs “New” and “Share”, below these, there is an icon for expending the art work to the full screen, a camera icon to save the picture of your creations, a blue dot for “Controls”.

The dot of ‘Controls’ allows you some options to bring variety into your art creation, such as colour palette. Clicking on that will show seven colours and you can change the colour you are working with by clicking on the colour you want. You can mix colours by holding onto a colour with your mouse and dragging it to another dot of colour.

You can also play with the bar labelled “Rotational symmetry,” and turn the “Mirror across centre” and “Spiral towards centre” on or off. Draw by clicking in the centre and moving your mouse. Choosing from these options will create an extravagant design you had never imagined.

You are also given the choice to share your work through email, Pinterest, Twitter and FB. To clear the page, hit the spacebar, and to undo click “z.”

So kids, don’t hesitate to explore the site, and experience the enigmatic formation of weaving the silk at : www.weavesilk.com
