MIRAMSHAH: Unknown armed men shot dead a student of the University of Lahore in his native Khadri village in Mirali subdivision of North Waziristan district on Friday.

The slain student was identified as Israrullah. The attackers escaped the area after the killing. The police reached the spot soon after the incident and started investigation.

Residents said that the incidents of targeted killings had been growing in North Waziristan, which had created unrest and tension in the area.
