RAWALPINDI: The police have arrested for people suspected of raping a girl in Ratta Amral on Sunday.

Rawal Division Superintendent of Police (SP) Rai Mazhar Iqbal told Dawn that all four of the suspects were involved in raping a girl in their neighbourhood.

He said they were arrested soon after the victim lodged a complaint with the police.

He said the victim identified the suspects as residents of her neighbourhood. They will be produced before the court to be remanded.

She said the same person then came to her house with a friend and both of them raped her and threatened to kill her.

She said she never told her father what had happened out of fear for her life. She said another man who she called her uncle came to her home, threatened her and raped her as well, and she was raped by another boy on the street.

Se said she told her father what happened after she became pregnant and she sought the police’s help to arrest the suspects.
