ABBOTTABAD: Jamaat-i-Islami chief Senator Sirajul Haq has insisted that ‘Jihad’ is the only solution to the lingering Kashmir issue.

This he said while addressing a Kashmir rally, which later turned into a public meeting here on Sunday. It was largely attended by the JI male and female workers.

JI provincial naib emir Sabir Hussain, Abbottabad district emir Sajid Qureshi, former NA candidate Saeed Mughal, former provincial assembly candidate Amjad Khan Jadoon and others spoke on the occasion.

Mr Haq said that after locking down the occupied Kashmir, New Delhi was now hurling threats of stopping the river water to Pakistan.

He said the Modi government was emboldened by what he said a weak government in Pakistan as the latter was unable to take effective steps to counter the New Delhi’s aggression.

He remarked that Kashmir dispute resolution was linked with safety and security of the people of Pakistan.
