SWABI: Four members of a family were seriously injured when roof of the house of a policeman caved-in here on Saturday.

The incident occurred in far-flung Jhanda area.

It has been learnt that constable Mushtaq Ali was constructing the second storey of his house, when roof of the first floor caved-in as it could withstand the weight.

As a result of the roof collapse, two women and two children were buried.

Soon after the collapse of the roof, announcements were made on loudspeakers, asking people to reach the house for rescuing the people buried under the rubble.

The people retrieved four injured persons from under the rubble and shifted them to the district headquarters hospital, Swabi. Two of the injured are stated to be in serious condition who might be shifted to a major hospital in Peshawar.

Meanwhile, 14-year-old Mohammad Amin went missing from his house in Shagai village, said his family on Saturday.

They said that they had made all-out efforts to trace him but failed.
